On the eBay chat boards, I offer free help with Blackthorne Pro (BTPro) in the Blackthorne Pro Discussion forum, where I post under my sellerID "rosachs". I am not an eBay employee nor am I in any way affiliated with eBay other than as a buyer and seller. My assistance is based upon my own experience with the software, nothing more. All help offered on the boards is offered without expectation of fee or payment of any kind. Any links provided are to sites I believe to be suitable as examples of solutions to the issue(s) posed in the original poster's question(s). No intent to sell or contract in any manner exists nor is such implied nor should it be inferred. Any offer made on the chat boards to assist in the design of BTPro Listing Templates, develop html code, or to provide any other such (or related) service, although it may be the same as, or similar to, the work as I would otherwise do professionally, is made without expectation of fee or payment of any kind, and is done so in the capacity of my personal offer to help or assist the original poster of the thread, and not in my capacity as an Internet service professional. The underlying code to any page used as an example in the solution to the issue raised by the original poster of the thread in which I respond, and to which I hold copyright, may be freely examined and the relevant code section copied by the original poster for use in, or as part of, the solution to the question posed. Access to this code, by the original poster, is also offered without expectation of payment or fee of any kind. I am always grateful for donations, which help me keep this web site running and sometimes those whom I help do generously send me gifts that I gratefully accept. I was taught as a young man that it's rude to refuse to accept a gift, just as it is rude to refuse to offer help. So I help when I can and accept gifts as graciously as possible. I am always glad to point people in the right direction and offer BTPro help so they can learn how to do things on their own. However, when a direct e-mail contact goes beyond the level of simple 'help' on a given point and becomes a request to create an entire page, template, web site or unique piece of code for a special purpose, then this becomes 'work' and not just 'help'... work that I charge for and that I will quote at my current rate. You are, of course, free to reject any such quotation. -Bob. |
