"Nothing in life is free", or so the saying goes, and it applies to consignment sales as well.
-
Auction Fees are those fees incurred during the process of listing your auction with eBay. Your RKS representative will review these with you.
-
Payment Fees are the fees paid to third party companies for the handling of credit card payments or cash transfers. Your RKS representative will review these with you.
-
Commission is the fee paid to RKS for creating the auction, running the auction, clearing the payment, and handling the shipping of your item. Your actual commission rate will be determined by your RKS representative after meeting with you and reviewing the items to be sold.
-
Listing Deposit: from time to time, RKS will ask an owner to supply a cash Listing Deposit, to cover the cost of listings the auctions on eBay should the items not sell. This is normally done with new clients and is credited to listing fees as needed.
-
Settlement: the process of determining how much money you receive for the items sold. Settlement will be reviewed by your RKS representative before any contracts are signed.
The RKS settlement form will list all fees incurred and whether they are payable or not, it will list the commissions payable to RKS, and will determine exactly how much money you
will receive from the sale of your items.
